In 1979, a young Paul J. Crandall established Electronic Services Company (ESC), a small repair company based in Van Nuys, California. Armed with a degree in electronics, Paul and his crew of technicians started out
repairing oscilloscopes and other high-tech test equipment. The business thrived, and in the late 1980’s Paul and his wife Sandy moved their business to Lake Hughes, California. In 1989 they began a relationship with
a well-known dental and implant company called Core-Vent, which would eventually become Implant Direct. Paul began repairing Core-Vent’s Physio-Dispenser system, which was manufactured and private labeled for Core-Vent
by Nouvag AG, a company based in Switzerland. Paul’s successful work on the Physio-Dispenser eventually led to a relationship between Nouvag AG and Electronic Services Company and Nouvag USA was born. Nouvag USA quickly
became the primary repair facility for all Nouvag implant and endodontic systems and equipment. Over the years, Paul traveled to countless implant dental shows, repaired thousands of pieces of Nouvag equipment and provided
invaluable advice and technical assistance to field reps and doctors alike. Sandy managed all aspects of the business operations including customer support, processing orders, shipping and receiving, and much more.
Together they built, nurtured and maintained a very successful sales and repair business.
In June of 2016, Paul and Sandy retired. In keeping with the family-owned business model of their Swiss counterparts, Paul and Sandy passed the reigns of Nouvag USA to their daughter and son-in-law, Mark and Carrie Kuban.
As head technician at Nouvag USA, Mark brings to the table more than 20 years in the service and repair industry. His expansive knowledge of mechanics along with his ability to provide technical support in a straight-forward
manner has quickly earned him the respect of Nouvag USA’s numerous customers and distributors. Carrie follows in Sandy’s footsteps and oversees all aspects of the business operations. Her job duties include customer support,
processing orders, shipping and receiving, billing, accounting and providing technical support. She brings with her more than 20 years of customer service and office management experience.
